Gilbert is a convicted cop killer and former member of a domestic terrorist group, the Weather Underground. The group is known for its violent anti-American activity, including bombing the U.S. Capitol, Pentagon and other government buildings. Cuomo also commuted the sentences of four other convicted murderers.
