Congresswoman Claudia Tenney Tours DFAS, Announces Addition of 100 New Jobs

Rome, NY – Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) today visited the Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) facility in Rome where she met with Sean McCracken, Director of DFAS Rome, Matt Brown, Deputy Program Manager of DFAS Rome, and Ed Abounader, DFAS/AFGE National Council President and President of DFAS/AFGE Rome. 

Tenney toured the facility and discussed the progress DFAS Rome is making in growing its footprint. She also announced recent employment gains DFAS has made since April and highlighted current employment opportunities still available at the site. With the addition of 100 new jobs since April, DFAS Rome’s total workforce now exceeds 1,000 personnel. 

“DFAS Rome plays a critical role in keeping our government running and ensuring our military personnel are paid, and they do so with absolute professionalism,” said Congresswoman Tenney. “It was an honor to announce today that DFAS continues to grow and that since April, the site has added 100 new jobs. Great things are happening in Rome, and I will continue to advocate tirelessly in Congress for the DFAS workforce. Tenney was joined by Abounader to announce the exciting news that 100 additional positions have been filled at DFAS Rome since April.
