“On January 6 of last year, our nation witnessed unacceptable scenes of violence and destruction at the US Capitol. I have and will always condemn unlawful acts like these that destroy property and abuse our right to peacefully assemble. Using violence to advance a political cause is wrong.

WASHINGTON D.C. (NEXSTAR) — Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) and other house lawmakers say residents in long-term care facilities should never be completely cut-off from their loved ones.

“Many of them are sitting in isolation in these care facilities,” Tenney said.

The Essential Caregivers Act would allow residents to designate essential caregivers who could continue to provide support, even during a public health emergency. During the peak of the pandemic, caregivers could not be present as their loved ones died in isolation.

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) today announced that the Windsor Central and Norwich City School Districts received violence prevention funding from the Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance’s (BJA) Preventing School Violence: BJA’s STOP School Violence Program. The Norwich City School District received $134,517 and the Windsor Central School District received $426,434.
