U.S. Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) recently visited the Cortland, NY, facility of TRSA operator member Ames Linen Service. The company is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

Rep. Tenney received a plant tour from Ames Linen Service President Johanna Ames and members of her staff. While touring the facility, Rep. Tenney discussed several issues of concern to healthcare operators including increasing the use of reusable personal protective equipment (PPE) and the drawbacks of the home laundering of scrubs by healthcare employees.

With the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Courthouse Park in Cortland in disrepair — with slabs of granite sidings loosely hanging on and names fading — Rep. Claudia Tenney said Tuesday it’s crucial to resurrect the memorial to keep the memory of the fallen alive.

“Remembering the heroic service of those who came before us is so vitally important and we simply cannot take our liberty and prosperity for granted,” said Tenney (R-Oneida).

Tenney, who is the co-chair of the House Election Integrity Caucus, was also joined by Congressman Rodney Davis, who is the ranking member of the Congressional Committee on House Administration, which oversees election policy.

In Cortland County, Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (R) hosted a water infrastructure roundtable to address the challenges facing Upstate communities.

Tenney made an announcement regarding Marathon's request for a federally funded water project. The request was made earlier this year to the Appropriations Committee where the committee then approved a $600,000 request this month. Tenney says it will now continue in its legislative process.
