Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-22, New Hartford, joined nearly three dozen of House Republicans in sending a letter to Phillip Swagel, Director of the Congressional Budget Office seeking a non-partisan assessment of the Build Back Better Act.
The CBO is the agency tasked with reporting on budgetary and economic impacts of proposed legislation.
“(The) CBO is not always right and while I have had concerns with their assessments in the past, it is vitally important for Congress to have all the information before considering far-reaching legislation like this,” said Tenney.
U.S. Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-New Hartford, has made election integrity a primary focus of her second term in Congress.

Former Lee Center Fire Chief Kenneth Baker Jr. was recognized on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday by Congresswoman Claudia Tenney.
Baker died at age 78 on Oct. 13 following a brief battle with a brain tumor, according to family members. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Lee Center Fire Department for 48 years, including 28 years as fire chief. He was laid to rest on Monday with an outpouring of support from local fire departments.
