Rep. Tenney expects stalemate to continue on the infrastructure package

October 26, 2021

President Joe Biden has said that he wants a deal on his desk regarding the Infrastructure Package and Spending Bill by Thursday before he goes to Europe for a conference.

However, Congresswoman Claudia Tenney told 12 News they are at a complete stalemate in Congress on what will happen with the package.

Tenney adds that Biden's hope of having a deal on his desk by Thursday is very unlikely.

"I do not see any kind of deal happening before December. I think this is going to be a long-drawn-out battle at this point," Rep. Tenney said. "I think we're going to be seeing a continuing resolution right up until we could be here late into the wee hours in December trying to get this budget done."

Tenney added there are some parts of the Build Back Better plan that she likes, including traditional infrastructures like fixing bridges and roads.
