In today’s world, your internet connection can determine your destiny. It shapes your access to education, healthcare, and employment. The COVID-19 pandemic has only driven this point home. Those who lack bandwidth, lack access and opportunity.

To make matters even worse, upstate New York suffers from virtually no broadband competition and choice. This has left too many customers, especially in rural areas, with limited service options, nonexistent service, or service that is far too expensive.

Washington, DC - Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) was part of a bipartisan group of lawmakers who introduced the Clean Energy Future through Innovation Act of 2021. She introduced this bipartisan proposal alongside Reps. David McKinley (WV-01), Kurt Schrader (OR-05), and Jim Costa (CA-16). The bill will boost innovation of clean energy technologies and reduce emissions from the power sector, while preserving affordability and reliability.

Washington, DC - Congresswomen Claudia Tenney (NY-22) today announced she is hosting the Congressional App Challenge for middle and high school students to work as part of a team to develop a software application.

Established in 2015, the Congressional App Challenge allows students from across the United States to compete by creating and exhibiting a software application the students create for mobile, tablet, or computer devices on a platform of their choice.

Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-22, New Hartford, will host a tele-town hall for constituents in New York’s 22nd Congressional District from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30.

The start time is subject to change pending the House of Representatives voting schedule, according to Tenney’s announcement.

The purpose of this call is to have a live and open discussion between residents of New York's 22nd Congressional District and the Congresswoman. Participants will be able to ask questions, provide feedback through poll questions, and speak with Tenney directly on issues important to them.

Congresswoman Claudia Tenney announced that the U-S Department of Transportation is giving B-C Transit

3.2 million dollars to purchase or lease low or no emission buses using either battery electric or fuel-cell power.

This funding allows local transit authorities to purchase or lease low or no-emission buses and other transit vehicles that rely on battery electric and fuel-cell power to provide cleaner and more energy efficient transit services to communities across the country.
