Thayer with the Presidential Unit Citation Medal in recognition of his valorous service during World War II as a member of K-Company, 3rd Battalion, 119th Regiment, 30th infantry Division, also known as "Old Hickory."
Republicans on the House Foreign Affairs Committee have attacked the Biden administration for lifting sanctions last week on three former Iranian officials, and two companies, that had been involved in trading Iranian petrochemical products. The delisting, the State Department said, followed a “verified change in status or behavior.”

Washington, DC - Congresswomen Claudia Tenney (NY-22), member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, today led several of her colleagues in a letter to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressing serious concerns over the Administration's recent decision to delist three former Iranian government officials and two previously sanctioned companies. These actions undermine prior commitments made by Secretary Blinken and other State Department officials to not unilaterally ease pressure on the Iranian regime.
The 2020 election was a pivotal moment for the United States and election security. The election exposed several concerning issues in both congressional races and the presidential election. My race for New York’s 22nd Congressional District was not certified for almost 100 days after New Yorkers cast their votes in November.
