New Hartford, NY -- Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) today introduced H.R. 2114, the Essential Caregivers Act, in Congress. This legislation would permit designated essential caregivers to enter long-term care facilities, which includes nursing homes and group homes, to provide care and support to a facility resident during any public health emergency. Tenney’s legislation would ensure residents in long-term care facilities are not left alone or without access to a family member during a public health emergency.

In early February, Republican Claudia Tenney was sworn into the office after coming out ahead of her opponent, incumbent Anthony Brindisi, by just over 100 votes. UTICA, N.Y. ---- Congresswoman Claudia Tenney joined other GOP lawmakers in visiting our nation's southern border on Thursday. U.S Customs and Border Patrol agents are reporting a record number of illegal immigrants crossing into the United States.

The situation is being called a humanitarian crisis that Tenney wanted to see first hand. Tenney was able to tour the facilities in El Paso, Texas that house the immigrants. Tenney said she was impressed with how well the migrants were being treated.,
