This Committee oversees election policy in Congress.

Marathon, NY - Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) today hosted a roundtable discussion with local elected officials to discuss the infrastructure needs of rural New York. During the discussion, Tenney announced the House Appropriations Committee has provided initial approval of the Village of Marathon's request for $600,000 in federal funding to repair a broken water line and ensure the community has access to drinking water.

Cortland, NY - Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) today joined local elected officials as well as veterans groups at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Cortland to underscore the need for repairs at the site. Tenney highlighted bipartisan legislation she introduced in Congress, the Remembering Our Local Heroes Act, to help communities build and maintain local memorials.

Sherburne, NY - Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) was in the Village of Sherburne today to announce the House Appropriations Committee approved the $212,022 request she made on behalf of the Village of Sherburne for rural broadband expansion initiatives within the community. Now that the funding has been approved by the Committee, it will continue to move through the legislative process and must also be agreed to by the United States Senate.

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) announced that Madison County will receive $10.1 million from the Department of Agriculture through the USDA’s ReConnect Program. This program provides loans and grants to cover the costs to construct, improve or acquire facilities and equipment needed to provide broadband service in rural areas without sufficient, reliable internet access. This grant will be used to deploy a high-quality fiber network to connect 798 households, 2,170 people, 30 businesses, and 50 farms across over 48.21 square miles.

Ilion, NY – Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) is leading 168 of her House colleagues in a congressional amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court defending our right to conceal carry under the Second Amendment to the Constitution. The case, New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Corlett, challenges New York’s onerous and arbitrary conceal carry restrictions, which unconstitutionally bar law-abiding New Yorkers from exercising their Second Amendment rights. The amicus brief will formally be submitted to the Supreme Court in the coming days.

Washington, DC - Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22), co-chair of the House Election Integrity Caucus, today introduced the End Zuckerbucks Act (H.R. 4290). This bill, which has 12 original cosponsors, would amend the Internal Revenue Code to prohibit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organizations from providing direct funding to official election organizations.
