September 2, 2021

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) joined with her colleagues to introduce H.R. 5142. This bill awards posthumous Congressional Gold Medals to the thirteen United States service members who lost their lives during the despicable attack in Afghanistan last week.

“Thirteen brave men and women made the ultimate sacrifice defending our Nation and protecting our citizens. Each of them deserves to be eternally honored for their heroism. I am honored to join more than 160 bipartisan Members of Congress in introducing a resolution to award our fallen heroes with Congressional Gold Medals. May we always remember their service, sacrifice, and courage.”
