Congresswoman Tenney Releases 2026 Agriculture Plan to Strengthen New York Farms and Rural Communities

Oswego, NY — Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) today released her 2026 Agriculture Plan, laying out her priorities to strengthen New York’s farm economy, support dairy and specialty crop producers, expand market opportunities, protect American farmland, and ensure farmers have the resources and certainty they need to succeed.

Agriculture is a cornerstone of New York’s 24th Congressional District, the largest agricultural district in the Northeast and the fifth largest dairy producing district in the nation. Rep. Tenney’s 2026 Agriculture Plan prioritizes a strong and reliable farm economy by expanding access to domestic and international markets, strengthening the agricultural workforce, and supporting partnerships between local farmers and their communities. It also focuses on the industries that make NY-24 unique, including dairy, apples, grapes, maple syrup, and other specialty crops. The plan further calls for protecting American farmland from hostile foreign interests, improving federal support for producers, and pushing back against burdensome policies that make it more difficult for family farms to remain competitive.
