Congresswoman Tenney Announces State of the Union Guest
Washington, DC – Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) today announced that her guest for the 2023 State of the Union Address will be Yates County Sheriff Ron Spike. Members of Congress are allowed to have one guest join them for the address, which will take place tonight at 9:00 pm.
“It is an honor to announce that Yates County Sheriff Ron Spike will be my guest at this year’s State of the Union in Washington, DC,” said Congresswoman Claudia Tenney. “Sheriff Spike has served in the Yates County Sheriff’s office for 52 years. He is the former President of the New York State Sheriffs’ Association and currently serves on the Executive Board for the National Sheriffs’ Association.
“He is an exemplary law enforcement officer and dedicated public servant,” Tenney continued. “House Republicans are committed to standing up for our brave law enforcement officers, who put their lives on the line every day for our safety. Sheriff Spike is the embodiment of a dedicated public servant and I look forward to working with him and other law enforcement leaders across New York’s 24th District to keep our communities safe.”
