Congresswoman Claudia Tenney Leads Community in Candlelight Vigil for Fallen Veterans

Rome, NY – Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) led members of the community and local elected officials in a candlelight vigil honoring all of the fallen US service members who gave their lives serving in Afghanistan. Tenney, the mother a Marine veteran, chose to honor each individual who served in Operation Enduring Freedom and subsequent missions, including the 13 service members who were recently killed in the withdrawal from Afghanistan. 

“This vigil was a touching tribute to honor those who paid with their lives in service to our country, and I thank everyone who joined me for this special ceremony. As a nation, we continue to mourn the loss of our service members and carry on their legacies as best we can. We will always honor our fallen and remember the many selfless sacrifices they made in our defense. May God bless our heroes and the Gold Star families they leave behind,” said Congresswoman Tenney.
