Frankfort, NY—Today, Rep. Claudia Tenney (NY-22) announced a $22,500 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). This grant will provide the Village of Frankfort with a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) for a new water system upgrade and connection to a new water source. The PER will develop the engineering needed to connect via a new water transmission main for the entire Village of Frankfort to the Mohawk Valley Water Authority water source.

This funding will serve the needs of the 2,598 residents and 96 businesses.

“This grant is an important step forward in improving our infrastructure and expanding water access for rural areas in the 22nd District. Many residents and commercial properties in the Village of Frankfort experience water quality issues due to outdated infrastructure. This important funding awarded by the USDA is a critical component in reviving our rural water infrastructure. It will eliminate contaminated water resources and connect the village to a more updated water resource,” said Congresswoman Claudia Tenney.
