Tenney, Reed Announce $147K in Rural Development Funds for Tioga County, Leading to Creation of Jobs
Tioga, NY—Today, Reps. Claudia Tenney (NY-22) and Tom Reed (NY-23) announced grants totaling $147,540 for rural development in Tioga County.
This funding was awarded to Tioga County Rural Economic Area Partnership LDC (REAP) to assist our local cities, towns and families.
“This important funding awarded by the USDA will provide the resources needed for our community to implement an affordable and smart housing strategy as well as invest in equipment. In addition to much needed support for our local governments, the federal dollars will be used to support our local businesses--a critical component in reviving our Upstate economy,” said Congresswoman Claudia Tenney.
“We care about ensuring families in our communities have fair access to good quality housing and jobs,” Tom said. "These grants will allow hard-working people in our neighborhood to increase their family’s quality of life.
