Congresswoman Tenney Announces Over $4.2 Million for the Towns of Mexico, Lenox and the Village of Boonville for Rural Development
Washington, D.C.— Today, Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) announced that a total of $4,229,000 in federal funds from the Department of Agriculture has been awarded to the towns of Mexico and Lenox and the Village of Boonville. This funding comes as Rep. Tenney is headed on another tour of the 22nd District to highlight Renew NY-22, her plan to revitalize and renew opportunities for our region. This week, Rep. Tenney is emphasizing the need to invest in infrastructure to target projects most in need of support. This funding will be used for improving our rural infrastructure and expanding water access for rural areas.
“America’s rural communities have been left behind due to a lack of strong and sustained investments. It is vital that our water infrastructure in rural communities like the 22nd District is properly funded to ensure safe, clean drinking water,” said Congresswoman Claudia Tenney. “This funding is an important step forward in improving our infrastructure and expanding water access for rural areas in the 22nd District."
