Preble, NY— Today, Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) toured Suit-Kote Corporation, a family-owned, multi-generational paving company with Senior Advisor to the President, Ivanka Trump and Frank Suits Jr., President and CEO of Suit-Kote Corporation. After the tour, Ivanka Trump, Rep. Tenney and Frank Suits were joined by the Cortland Chamber of Commerce President, local elected officials, Suit-Kote employees and an audience of 150 to discuss workforce development and the benefits of tax reform. Following the roundtable, Suit-Kote employees took Ivanka Trump outside to demonstrate Cold-in-Place recycling on the entrance of the facility.

This is a process that uses three independent machines working in concert, forming what is referred to as a "train." A recycle train mills the old surface, adds virgin aggregate and emulsified asphalt and then lays the new mix through a conventional paver. After the compaction the mix is ready for traffic.

"It was an honor to host Senior Advisor to the President, Ivanka Trump today at Suit-Kote in Cortland to highlight the real results achieved by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and our continued efforts to expand workforce development programs. Thank you to Frank and Theresa Suits and family, the entire Suit-Kote team, the Cortland Chamber and Cortland County IDA for highlighting the amazing businesses and workforce we have in Cortland County. I am grateful that Ivanka Trump visited our region to highlight the importance of providing tax relief to hardworking families, especially the child tax credit which will help working parents like Emily Finn and Emily Kissel who are both new working mothers and participated in our panel," said Rep. Tenney.  "Suit-Kote began as a small road construction business in Cortland in 1921 and has remained committed to the Cortland Community and the mission of treating every employee like a member of their own family."
