Congresswoman Tenney Releases 2025 Agriculture Plan to Strengthen Upstate Farms and Protect American Agriculture
Oswego, New York — Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) today released her comprehensive Agriculture Plan, reinforcing her commitment to protect New York’s family farms, expand markets for local producers, and safeguard American farmland from foreign adversaries.
NY-24 is the largest agricultural district in the Northeast, ranking fifth in the nation for dairy production. It is home to Wayne County, the third-largest apple-producing county in the country, numerous other specialty crops, as well as top maple syrup producers in Wyoming County and the world-renowned vineyards and orchards of the Finger Lakes. These producers sustain the economy of the district, creating jobs and stocking schools and grocery stores with nutritious local products. Rep. Tenney’s plan focuses on strengthening these specialty crops, bolstering New York dairy, and protecting U.S. farmland from foreign interests.
“As the Representative of the largest agricultural district in the Northeast, I understand our farms are not just the heart of our economy but the heart of our communities,” said Congresswoman Tenney. “From dairy and apples to maple syrup, vineyards and other specialty crops, our producers feed America and sustain thousands of local jobs. My Agriculture Plan delivers real solutions unlocking the potential of our rural communities, counteracting hostile foreign interference in our agriculture sector, and providing farmers and producers with the certainty and opportunities they need to thrive.”
